Job Description
NICU Registered Nurse

Required Skills:
Minimum of 3 years of NICU experience, specifically in Level III NICU settings
Proven expertise in managing ventilators, central lines, and administering a variety of medications (IV, IM, SQ, ETT, OGT, NGT, oral, rectal, topical, eye drops/ointment)
Proficient in placing IVs in neonates, drawing labs, and conducting procedures such as blood transfusions, chest tube insertions, and assist with PICC, UAC, UVC placements
Ability to assist with delivery and newborn transition (vaginal and C-section deliveries), admit/discharge neonates to/from NICU and NOU
Skilled in coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams including NNPs, MDs, RTs, Social Services, Radiology, OT, and others
Exceptional communication skills, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and customer service excellence
Experience managing ventilators and intubations, plus familiarity with procedures like ultrasounds and echocardiograms
Current certifications: BLS and NRP
Nice to Have Skills:
Epic electronic health record proficiency
Experience floating to newborn nurseries or other maternity units
Additional certifications such as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (per certification requirements)
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
Active RN license in good standing
Prior experience in a Level III NICU environment
Other Requirements:
Must have delivery attendance experience
No first-time travelers accepted
Willingness to float to NOU (Neonatal Observation Unit) with patient ratios of 1:4-6
Weekly self-scheduling with every other weekend shifts, and coverage for major/minor holidays
Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 pm – 7:15 am)
Valid licensure, certifications, and adherence to all applicable healthcare regulations
