Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Midwife Midwife to provide comprehensive outpatient obstetric and gynecological services. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team—including OB/GYNs, nurses, social workers, and childbirth educators—to ensure every patient receives personalized, holistic care. Your expertise will be crucial in triaging and managing emergent obstetric cases, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and contributing to a supportive environment for women's health. Required Skills
Active certification with the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)
Current RN and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in Florida
Minimum of 2 years' experience managing intrapartum, postpartum, and OB triage in a hospital setting
Proficiency in EMR systems, particularly Meditech
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively within a collaborative OB/CNM practice
BLS certification (by start date)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification highly preferred but not required
Nice to Have Skills
Certifications in Obstetric Ultrasound, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, or Lactation Consultation
Experience with high-acuity/low-frequency emergency drills and skills training
Additional certifications in obstetric care or women’s health
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nursing or Midwifery from an accredited institution
At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience in a hospital or outpatient setting involving obstetrics and gynecology
Demonstrated ability to provide holistic and patient-centered care
Other Requirements
Florida licensure as an RN and APRN
Valid certifications in BLS and NRP (preferred)
Willingness to participate in ongoing training and quality improvement activities
Since this position involves outpatient care, travel arrangements (if applicable) will be coordinated and covered by the client, including airfare, lodging, and car rental.
