Shift: Day, 4x8-hour shifts (08:00 – 17:00)
Hours/Week: 32
Employment Type: Temporary with potential for permanent
Licensure/Certifications: MO & IL licenses preferred, BC in Genetics, BLS, DEA, BNDD required
Experience: Minimum 2-5 years in genetics, metabolic disorders
Pay & Benefits:
Pay Rate: $156.00/hour

What You’ll Do:
Conduct general genetics evaluations and manage biochemical/metabolic disorders
Provide inpatient consultations in PICU, NICU, and pediatric wards
Collaborate with genetic counselors and multidisciplinary teams
Support outpatient clinic activities and diagnostic practices
Participate in multidisciplinary conference and case review sessions
Document patient encounters accurately in EPIC EMR
What You Need: Required:
Board Certification in Genetics or equivalent
Valid Missouri and Illinois licenses (or eligible candidates)
BLS certification
Experience with metabolic conditions and genetic diagnostics
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Preferred:
Experience with inpatient and outpatient settings
Strong diagnostic and patient management skills

Support staff includes genetic counselors, genetic nurses, and genetic counseling assistants. The facility is a prominent academic and hospital-based outpatient clinic with inpatient consults, serving primarily pediatric patients and occasional adults. The hospital is a state-of-the-art, modern facility affiliated with Saint Louis University School of Medicine, featuring advanced healthcare technology and a dynamic team of over 200 specialists across numerous subspecialties.
