Job Description
Mental Therapy Aide - Days
Join our dedicated team as a Mental Therapy Aide in our Children and Adolescents Psychiatric Unit, where your support can make a profound difference in the lives of young patients. This vital role involves working closely with the behavioral health team to implement therapeutic treatment plans, assist with daily living activities, and foster a safe, respectful environment for patients and their families. Required Skills:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a mental health or inpatient setting; 2 years preferred
Peds experience highly preferred
Current CPR certification
Ability to physically manage patients
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively within a team and handle sensitive situations professionally
Excellent data management skills
Ability to participate actively in treatment planning and implementation
Flexibility to work every other weekend and some holidays
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience working specifically with children and adolescents
Knowledge of behavioral management techniques
Certification in additional behavioral health or therapeutic disciplines
Preferred Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant coursework or training in mental health or social services is advantageous
At least 1 year of direct experience in inpatient behavioral health settings; 2+ years preferred
Other Requirements:
Willingness to participate in team meetings and comply with all facility policies
Ability to engage in data collection and behavioral intervention procedures
This position is scheduled for day shifts, beginning 07/11/2025
