Required Skills:
Valid New York State (NYS) Registered Nurse license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Minimum of 2 years recent medical-surgical nursing experience
Strong IV skills and confidence working with cardiac drips
Proficient in reading EKG strips and wound care
Ability to float to Medical-Surgical units as needed
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior travel nursing experience
Certification in NIH Stroke Scale
Preferred Education and Experience:
Active RN license in New York
At least 2 years of current medical-surgical nursing experience in a hospital setting
Experience working with cardiac monitors and complex wound management
Other Requirements:
Flexibility to work mostly night shifts with occasional day shifts
Successful completion of facility orientation, including 8 hours of CEUs
NIH Stroke Certification required before start
Ability to pick up a minimum of 2 shifts per month
Travel experience preferred
