What You’ll Do
  • Provide direct nursing care for adult hematology/oncology patients, including chemotherapy administration and blood transfusions
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and interpret dysrhythmias using telemetry equipment
  • Manage IV therapies, including PICC lines, peripheral lines, and insulin/heparin drips
  • Respond to oncologic emergencies such as tumor lysis syndrome and cytokine release syndrome
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and utilize the EPIC electronic charting system
  • Adhere to infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention strategies
  • Float to other Medical-Surgical and Oncology units as needed

What You Need
  • Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • At least 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience
  • Strong skills in telemetry, IV therapy, and patient care management
  • Ability to quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment and follow protocols

About the Assignment
This role is based at a leading facility in Columbus, Ohio, specializing in oncology and hematology care. The unit focuses on patients with conditions such as lymphoma, multiple myeloma, leukemias, sickle cell disease, and other non-hematologic cancers. The position involves night shifts, with staffing ratios of approximately 1:4 to 1:5, providing an excellent opportunity for seasoned nurses seeking flexible hours and competitive compensation.
