Role Overview:
As a Med/Surg RN, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical conditions. Your expertise will support patient recovery and comfort, ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Required Skills:
Current RN licensure in Louisiana
BLS certification
CPI/MOAB/EDGE certification
ACLS certification
EMR proficiency (CPSI/TrueBridge preferred)
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have Skills:
PALS certification (preferred for Med/Surg; required for ED)
Previous experience in a hospital setting, particularly in Med/Surg units
Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures
Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Minimum of 1-2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
Other Requirements:
Must be available to work the day shift (7 am - 7 pm)
Willingness to work a 36-hour week
EMR experience with CPSI/TrueBridge is preferred
