Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Med Surg team at Wellstar North Fulton Hospital. The RN will be a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team providing high-quality, safe, and individualized patient care. This role involves practicing in a clinical environment guided by evidence-based standards, nursing models, and organizational values. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to respond effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Core Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care based on evidence-based practice.
Deliver patient-centered care tailored to individual needs, considering cultural and demographic factors.
Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and goal-setting.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation supporting quality and safety standards.
Collaborate with the healthcare team through interdisciplinary rounds and effective communication strategies.
Support performance improvement initiatives and participate in shared governance activities.
Maintain professional competency through ongoing education and serve as a preceptor or mentor to peers and students.
Promote evidence-based practice, participate in clinical research, and uphold all hospital policies and safety standards.
Engage in proactive care planning and support protocol development to improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
Active RN license (Single State or Multi-state Compact).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS required.
Less than 1 year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Strong communication, computer, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond confidently to emergencies.
Shift: Night (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Contract Duration: 8 weeks (starting after 12/14/2024)
Hourly Pay Rate: $46.90
