What You’ll Do:
Float across Oncology Medical-Surgical units, as needed
Provide high-quality patient care to individuals with active oncology diagnoses or undergoing treatments
Administer IV therapy, blood products, and manage central/peripheral lines
Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms
Support patients with respiratory management, including BIPAP, CPAP, and oxygen therapy
Assist with patient admissions, assessments, and care planning
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including pharmacy, radiology, and physical therapy
Ensure safety protocols are followed in a secure corrections environment
What You Need:
Required:
Valid Ohio State Nursing License
BLS certification
At least 1 year of medical-surgical or telemetry experience
EPIC charting experience
Preferred:
Oncology experience
Experience with complex patient management and IV therapy
Ability to adapt to rotating shifts and work in a correctional facility environment
About the Assignment:
Work in a secure correctional setting operated by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections. The unit is a locked facility with safety standards and staffing ratios designed for optimal patient care. The RN will support patients with diverse diagnoses, primarily oncology-related, and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, secure environment.
