Location: CHI St. Alexius Health, 900 East Broadway Avenue, Bismarck, ND, 58501
Start Date: 06/24/2026
End Date: 60-90 days post-start, with credentialing process underway
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Monday to Friday), with evening call 4:00 PM – 8:00 AM, and 24-hour call on weekends
Hours/Week: Approximately 40 hours/week
Employment Type: Locum/Contract
License/Certs: North Dakota medical license (credentialing required)
Experience: IR general experience; stroke capability preferred but not required

Orientation pay: $287.50–$312.50 after 8 hours
Daily rate: $6,000–$6,200
Holiday call rate: $9,000–$9,300
On-call: $4,200–$4,800 per 24 hours (includes 4 free hours)
Callback and holiday callback rates applicable
What You’ll Do
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic vascular interventions, angiography, angioplasty, and stenting
Conduct thrombolytic therapy, embolization, and non-neuro interventional procedures
Manage vascular access devices, central lines, ports, IVC filters, TIPS, and related procedures
Carry out aspiration, drainage, biopsies, and drainage procedures (biliary, renal, abscess, thoracentesis, paracentesis)
Assist with pain management, vertebroplasty, joint injections, and other IR interventions
Read diagnostic images related to IR procedures, with no in-between diagnostic reads expected
Collaborate with a team specializing in general IR procedures, with stroke intervention preferred but not required
What You Need
North Dakota medical license (or capability to obtain)
Recent IR general experience (minimum required)
Ability to perform a comprehensive list of IR procedures listed above
Strong clinical skills, flexibility, and team-oriented attitude
Preferred: experience with stroke thrombectomy procedures
