Required Skills:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
Current, unrestricted medical license in Louisiana
DEA certification for prescribing controlled substances
Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience providing direct patient care
Proficiency in physical assessments, diagnostic testing, and treatment planning
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently with high integrity and professionalism
Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality regulations
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Nice to Have Skills:
Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Pediatrics
Experience working in correctional, detention, or residential healthcare settings
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Familiarity with social determinants of health and culturally competent care
Preferred Education and Experience:
Medical degree from an accredited U.S. or Canadian program
At least one year of direct patient care experience in a primary care setting
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR
Other Requirements:
Availability to work 8-10 hour shifts, five days per week
Flexibility to respond to medical emergencies and participate in on-call rotations
Ability to respond promptly within four minutes during emergencies
Physical ability to perform emergency procedures and assist patients as needed
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly pay rate of $150 all inclusive, with weekly pay via direct deposit
