Shift: 3 days/week on-site, with an additional 2 days/week split in Estill, SC
Hours/week: Approximately 24-30 hours
Employment Type: 1099 Contractor
Licensure/Certifications: Confirm credential requirements with VHS upon application
Experience: Prior experience in optometry preferred but not required

What You’ll Do
Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments for correctional patients
Prescribe eyewear and contact lenses as needed
Manage and document patient records accurately
Follow facility protocols and safety procedures
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care
Maintain compliance with licensing and certification requirements
What You Need
Required:
Valid optometry license in South Carolina
Prior experience in clinical optometry preferred
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
Experience working in correctional or institutional settings
Ability to work independently and handle a diverse patient population
