In this role, you will oversee obstetric and gynecologic emergencies, support labor and delivery processes, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team committed to patient-centered care. You will enjoy a flexible schedule and the chance to make a meaningful impact in Visalia, CA.
Required Skills:
Valid medical license to practice in California
Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Proven experience in OB hospitalist or related inpatient obstetric care
Strong skills in emergent GYN and OB management
Ability to function effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience working within residency programs or teaching environments
Knowledge of NICU Level III protocols
Familiarity with pseudo laborist models and community-based OB services
Additional certifications such as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Preferred Education and Experience:
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of 2 years relevant inpatient OB experience
Prior experience in community hospital settings is advantageous
Other Requirements:
Availability to start on 12/31/2025
Willingness to work in a hospital with 24/7 in-house anesthesia coverage
Participation in hospital’s backup emergency protocols with community provider support
All necessary licensures, certifications, and credentials to sustain ongoing practice
Compensation:
Hourly Pay Rate: $234.00
Benefits include weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical coverage (W-2), paid sick time, licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable.
