Locum - Physician - OB/GYN Grand Island, NE

Overview
We are requesting an experienced OB/GYN physician to provide temporary coverage for a busy practice in Grand Island. The role involves delivering comprehensive OB/GYN services in both outpatient and inpatient environments, including labor and delivery, gynecologic surgeries, and hospital consults. This position offers a chance to impact patient outcomes directly while working with a supportive team that features dedicated clinical and support staff. Candidates must be adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality care delivery.
Required Skills
Valid licensed OB/GYN physician credentialing in Nebraska
Proven experience in outpatient gynecology, labor and delivery, and gynecologic surgery
Proficiency in all standard gynecologic procedures
Excellent patient communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with EMR systems, preferably EPIC
Nice to Have Skills
Prior experience working in a hospital setting
Additional certifications such as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
Bilingual skills or multilingual capabilities
Experience in managing complex obstetric cases
Preferred Education and Experience
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
Active Nebraska medical license in good standing
Minimum of 3 years of obstetric and gynecologic practice experience
Previous locum or hospital-based OB/GYN work is advantageous
Other Requirements
Availability to cover scheduled dates: October 3–12, November 21–30, December 19–28, 8:00 AM – 8:00 AM
Commitment to credentialing within 60-90 days
Support with hospital privileges at CHI Health St. Francis Hospital, including gynecologic and obstetric privileges
Must include malpractice coverage in rates
Travel and lodging preferred accommodations include Comfort Inn or Holiday Inn
This position does not require billing enrollment in lieu of an existing provider
