Join Our Team as a Locum - Physician - Neurology in Petoskey, MI
Discover an exciting opportunity to provide specialized neurological care in the scenic setting of Petoskey, Michigan. As a Locum Physician, you will play a vital role in supporting our outpatient and inpatient services, ensuring patients receive top-quality neurological assessments and treatments. This position offers a rewarding chance to make a meaningful impact while working in a community-focused environment.
Required Skills:
MD or DO with valid medical license in Michigan or ability to obtain one
Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology
Proven experience in outpatient and inpatient neurology care
Proficiency in EEG interpretation and neurologic procedures
Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with Cerner EMR system
Additional training in radiologic exam interpretation, lumbar punctures, evoked potentials, or brain death exams
Previous experience in hospital or outpatient clinic settings
Bilingual skills are a plus
Preferred Education and Experience:
Medical degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of 2 years of clinical neurology practice
Active certification in Neurology
Other Requirements:
Availability to start in January 2026
Must have up-to-date immunizations including Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Flu, COVID, TB, and Tdap
Must possess or obtain applicable licensure and be eligible to work in Michigan
Ability to perform call coverage after hours, including night and holiday shifts
Must clock in and out using Kronos; no timesheets accepted
Prior experience with Cerner EMR preferred but not required
Willingness to provide inpatient hospital coverage when outpatient appointments are not scheduled
