Join Our Team as a Locum - Physician - Hospitalist - OB in Athens, OH!
Are you a dedicated OB Hospitalist looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in patient care while enjoying flexible scheduling? We are seeking experienced physicians to provide expert inpatient obstetric care on a locum basis. This vital role offers the chance to collaborate closely with community OBs and hospital teams, ensuring high-quality outcomes and exceptional patient satisfaction in a supportive and progressive environment.
Required Skills:
Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Valid state medical license in Ohio or eligibility to obtain one
Proven experience in hospital-based obstetrics and gynecology care
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage OB/GYN emergencies promptly and effectively
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience in multidisciplinary OB critical care
Familiarity with hospital-based triage, admissions, and delivery procedures
Bilingual abilities or additional language skills
Preferred Education and Experience:
Residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology
At least 2 years of hospitalist experience preferably in a locum or permanent capacity
Other Requirements:
Availability to start on 03/06/2026
Ability to work 24-hour shifts on a flexible schedule
Compliance with all applicable licensure, certification, and travel reimbursement policies
This position offers an hourly pay rate of $202.80, with additional benefits including competitive pay packages, weekly direct deposit, comprehensive W-2 medical benefits, a robust referral bonus program, paid sick time, and reimbursements for licensure, certification, travel, and other eligible expenses. We also provide paid orientation hours at 50% of the standard rate, holiday pay at 1.25x, and extra-time pay for hours over 40 per week.
