Are you a dedicated general medicine physician seeking flexible, rewarding opportunities to serve our nation's Veterans? We are seeking qualified Locum Physicians to provide essential medical assessments across Virginia. This role offers a unique chance to contribute your expertise in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment while enjoying competitive compensation and flexible scheduling. As a vital part of our team, you'll help ensure our Veterans receive the quality evaluations they deserve.

Required Skills:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited program
  • Active medical license in Virginia
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine
  • Proven ability to perform Comp & Pension exams and health assessments
  • Strong interview and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and adhere to standardized protocols

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Previous experience working with Veterans or in a government contracting environment
  • Certification in medical examinations or assessments
  • Familiarity with VA or military healthcare systems
  • Bilingual capabilities to serve diverse Veteran populations

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of relevant residency or fellowship programs
  • Prior experience conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments
  • Knowledge of VA regulations and procedures

Other Requirements:
  • Must own or have access to a private office space for conducting exams
  • Willingness to work on a PRN basis with flexible scheduling (½ or full days)
  • Ability to complete administrative duties such as report writing and addendums
  • Travel to multiple locations within Virginia as needed; travel costs included in rates
  • No prescribing or treatment responsibilities required

Hourly Pay Rate: $800 for 4-hour shifts; $1,600 for 5+ hour shifts. A one-time bonus of $650 is offered upon completing training and onboarding.
