In this role, you will conduct primarily interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing. There is no prescribing or treatment involved, allowing you to focus on assessments and reporting. The position offers flexible scheduling—whether half-day or full-day shifts—making it an ideal fit for providers seeking ongoing, part-time engagements. Required Skills
Active medical licensure in Texas or ability to obtain licensure promptly
Medical degree from an accredited institution
Board certification or experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or general medicine
Excellent interview and assessment skills
Ability to perform physical assessments (range of motion, muscle strength)
Strong communication and report-writing skills
Attention to detail and adherence to scheduling and procedural protocols
Nice to Have Skills
Prior experience with veteran assessments or participation in Compensation & Pension exams
Familiarity with government health assessments
Experience in primary care or outpatient settings
Certifications relevant to physical assessments or veteran health services
Preferred Education and Experience
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice in primary or internal medicine
Prior experience conducting medical assessments for veterans or government agencies is advantageous
Other Requirements
Local candidates only; travel and lodging are included in compensation rates
Ability to work on a PRN basis with flexible scheduling
No need for additional certifications such as DMA, but must complete onboarding trainings

Hourly Pay Rate: $800 for half-day (up to 4 hours), $1,600 for full-day (5+ hours), with a one-time $650 bonus upon completing initial training and exams.
