Required Skills
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology
Valid state medical license or the ability to obtain one
Proven experience in endoscopic procedures, including ERCP (mandatory for this role)
Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage outpatient and inpatient cases
Excellent communication and patient management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Nice to Have Skills
Experience with Cerner EMR system
Prior locum or hospital-based practice experience
Additional certifications in advanced endoscopy procedures
Familiarity with hospital workflows and consult management
Preferred Education and Experience
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience post-residency in gastroenterology
Prior experience performing ERCP procedures
Other Requirements
Availability to cover scheduled dates between March 1, 2026, and beyond, according to the rotation schedule
Must be able to work in a hospital clinic setting, performing outpatient and inpatient scopes
On-call coverage for weekends with 24-hour shift responsibilities (no weekday night calls)
Active medical license in Michigan or ability to secure licensure
Reliable transportation and ability to utilize DocTime for clocking in/out
Complete all required certifications and compliance documentation
