Join Our Team as a Locum - Physician - Emergency Medicine in Pomeroy, OH
Are you an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician looking to make a meaningful impact while enjoying flexible scheduling? We are seeking dedicated locum physicians to provide high-quality emergency care across multiple sites in the Pomeroy, Ohio area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in dynamic environments, contribute to patient care excellence, and enjoy competitive compensation.
The ideal candidate will bring strong emergency medicine skills, a passion for patient care, and the flexibility to cover night shifts and weekend schedules. If you thrive in fast-paced settings and are available for at least 5 shifts a month, with a preference for 8-10 shifts, we want to hear from you.
Required Skills:
ABMS or AOA-certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Valid and current ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS certifications
Minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience
Ability to independently manage ED documentation and codes
Strong clinical decision-making skills under pressure
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Nice to Have Skills:
Previous experience in free-standing emergency departments
Additional certifications or specialized training
Experience working in trauma or transfer protocols
Preferred Education and Experience:
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
Active medical license in Ohio or eligibility for licensure
At least 2 years of ER or urgent care experience in a fast-paced environment
Other Requirements:
Availability to start as soon as credentialed (anticipated 45-60 days from application)
Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends
Willingness to travel to multiple sites as needed
Provider must submit to all three sites: Holzer Meigs, Gallipolis, and Jackson EDs
Medical staff fees are non-reimbursable
Physician conversion fee cap ranges from $18,000 to $20,000
All travel arrangements to be coordinated by OVP
No overtime (OT) included in the schedule
