As a Locum Nurse Practitioner in General Medicine, you will play a vital role in conducting non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across North Carolina. Required Skills
Valid Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina
Proven experience in general medicine or primary care
Strong interviewing and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
Ability to perform exam documentation accurately and efficiently
Excellent communication skills and professionalism
Comfortable working independently within assigned locales
Nice to Have Skills
Prior experience with Compensation & Pension examinations
Knowledge of veterans’ healthcare needs and assessment protocols
Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience
Master's or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from an accredited institution
At least 2 years of clinical experience in general medicine or related fields
Experience in administrative or assessment roles related to veterans' healthcare is a plus
Other Requirements
Own office space within the designated radius (for local candidates)
Ability to work PRN on an ongoing basis, including half-day or full-day shifts
Willingness to complete training modules and perform initial exams to qualify for bonus incentives
No travel reimbursements provided; local candidates preferred, with travel included in rate
Certifications in CPR/BLS and any relevant state-specific credentials
Compensation for this role is an hourly rate of $402.00. You will be paid weekly via direct deposit, with opportunities for bonuses upon successful training completion.
