Required Skills:
Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
Minimum of 2 years experience in general medicine or primary care
Proven ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments
Strong clinical knowledge, including diagnosis and treatment planning
Excellent communication and patient management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
BLS certification
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience working in a busy outpatient or clinic environment
Previous locum or temporary healthcare assignments
Knowledge of Medicaid & Medicare protocols
Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish)
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
Active Texas Nurse Practitioner license
At least 2 years of recent outpatient primary care experience
Other Requirements:
Travel within Houston, TX, or surrounding areas as needed
Current BLS certification
Willingness to adapt to flexible scheduling, including part-time shifts
Ability to perform patient assessments, document accurately, and adhere to healthcare regulations
Compensation for this locum position is competitive, with an hourly pay rate of $402. Weekly pay is provided via direct deposit, and the role includes comprehensive medical benefits, paid sick leave, licensure and certification reimbursements when applicable, and a robust referral bonus program.
