Join Our Dynamic Trauma Surgery Team in Robbinsdale, MN as a Locum NP/PA
Are you a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider seeking an impactful opportunity in trauma surgery? North Memorial Health is looking for a committed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide exceptional care as a Locum across our Level I adult trauma center. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in a high-acuity environment, working alongside experienced trauma surgeons in a supportive and collaborative setting.
Position Overview:
As a Locum NP/PA in Trauma Surgery, you will primarily serve as a trauma hospitalist, performing rounding, responding to trauma alerts, managing admissions, and facilitating discharges. You’ll work with an experienced trauma team, including trauma surgeons available for procedures and backup. This full-time assignment spans from February 2, 2026, through July, with flexibility based on departmental needs. Required Skills:
Valid NP or PA license and national certification
Experience in trauma, emergency, or critical care preferred
Proficiency in trauma management and procedures such as chest tube placement, central and arterial lines, non-invasive ventilation, suturing minor lacerations
Ability to independently respond to trauma alerts and manage a high volume of diverse clinical conditions
Strong rounding, documentation, and communication skills
Familiarity with EpiCenter electronic medical records system
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with pediatric trauma care
Fluent in advanced airway management and ventilator troubleshooting
Prior work in high-volume trauma or ED settings
Bilingual capabilities
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in trauma, emergency medicine, or critical care environments
Other Requirements:
Ability to work autonomously with supervision from trauma surgeons on-site 24/7
Willingness to respond promptly to trauma alerts and perform essential procedures
No call responsibilities; in-house coverage only
Local candidates preferred; mileage reimbursement only applies
Must hold current state licensure, board certification, and CPCR/BLS certification
Travel or credentialing reimbursements are not provided
Compensation:
Hourly Pay Rate: $0.00 (competitive pay packages based on experience)
