Overview:
We are seeking experienced and flexible Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for a dynamic locum opportunity at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. This role offers an exciting chance to work in a prestigious Level 1 Trauma and Academic Center, providing high-quality anesthesia services across diverse case types. Ideal candidates are adaptable with scheduling and committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a collaborative environment. This ongoing assignment begins December 11, 2025, and offers the flexibility to support the department’s staffing needs.
Required Skills:
Valid certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Active Nebraska license or the ability to obtain licensing promptly
Experience with a variety of anesthesia cases including trauma, neuro, urology, orthopedic, and general surgeries
Strong knowledge of anesthesia procedures and safety protocols
Ability to work independently within a team-based model
Flexibility to accommodate varying schedules and availability
Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically EPIC
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience working in a Level 1 Trauma or academic medical center
Competency in performing advanced procedures such as TEE, Neuro IR, Bronch, and MRI lines
Familiarity with different shifts, including early mornings and long hours
Additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS
Preferred Education and Experience:
Graduate degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program
Minimum of 1-2 years of recent CRNA practice, preferably in a hospital setting with diverse case volume
Prior locum or agency experience is a plus
Other Requirements:
Must meet credentialing requirements with Creighton University Medical Center and Nebraska Spine Hospital within 60-90 days
Willingness to work scheduled days, primarily from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with flexibility for extended hours if needed
Travel preferences include local or nearby lodging; air travel highly preferred but not required
Must include malpractice coverage in rate proposals and adhere to credentialing deadlines
