Join Our Team as a Locum - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - Anesthesia Lansing, MI
Elevate your anesthesiology career by providing expert care in a dynamic endoscopy setting. We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to deliver independent anesthesia coverage at our esteemed Endoscopy Center. This pivotal role offers an excellent opportunity to practice autonomously, ensuring patient safety and comfort while supporting our department during a period of short staffing. You will enjoy a stable weekday schedule, with no call responsibilities, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
In this role, you will manage 10-16 adult and geriatric endoscopy cases daily, including MAC anesthesia for procedures such as EGD with biopsies, colonoscopy with biopsies, or combined EGD/colonoscopy. You will work in a dedicated, trauma-free environment utilizing the EPIC documentation system. This position is ideal for seasoned CRNAs who are independent, dependable, and comfortable operating autonomously within a specialized setting.
Required Skills:
Valid Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification and license
Proven experience with MAC anesthesia and endoscopy procedures
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Strong knowledge of anesthesia protocols and patient monitoring
Excellent communication skills and professionalism
Fluency in documentation and patient care procedures
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience working in outpatient or endoscopy settings
Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
Additional certifications such as ACLS or BLS
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master’s or higher degree in Nursing or Anesthesiology
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a CRNA, preferably in outpatient or endoscopy environments
Prior locum experience is advantageous
Other Requirements:
Credentialing timeframe of approximately 60-120 days
Travel and mileage reimbursement at IRS standard rates
Orientation period paid at half the hourly rate
Availability to start on or after January 1, 2026, and work through Summer 2026
Must hold all necessary certifications and licenses for practice in Michigan
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Pay Rate: $180.90
Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit
