Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to residents with intellectual disabilities and health challenges.
Manage medication administration, treatments, and provide medication education.
Accurately complete documentation and perform computer data entry (full training provided).
Adhere to facility policies and standards, including ICF-IDD Regulations, DSSLC Policies, and HHSC Standards.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
Required Skills:
Valid LVN license.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Ability to follow detailed protocols and documentation procedures.
Compliance with HHSC immunization and drug testing requirements.
Willingness to complete all required training and fingerprinting.
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
Familiarity with electronic health records and data entry.
Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Licensed Vocational Nurse certification.
At least 2 years of nursing experience in a healthcare or residential setting.
Other Requirements:
Must be able to work night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) and alternate shifts as needed.
Ability to start within five days of completing all pre-employment requirements.
Willingness to undergo background checks, fingerprinting, and drug testing.
No travel required; on-site position at Denton State Supported Living Center.
