In this position, you will be responsible for managing medication administration and treatments, providing medication education, and maintaining accurate documentation. You will perform computer data entry—full training provided—and adhere to facility standards and regulations, including ICF-IDD, DSSLC policies, and HHSC standards. Your work will directly impact the health and safety of residents, making this a rewarding and impactful career choice.
Required Skills:
Valid LVN license
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Ability to manage medication and treatments effectively
Strong documentation and communication skills
Compliance with HHSC immunization requirements
Ability to pass required drug testing and fingerprinting
Willingness to complete facility and HHSC training
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience working with individuals with intellectual and behavioral health challenges
Proficiency in computer data entry and electronic health records
Knowledge of accreditation standards and regulatory compliance
Preferred Education and Experience:
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) certification
At least 2 years of vocational nursing experience, preferably in a healthcare or residential setting
Other Requirements:
Shift 6a-2p
Willingness to start within five days of completing all pre-employment requirements
Must meet all state and facility-specific immunization and background check requirements
