Position Details:
Hourly Pay Rate: $40.87
Employment Type: Temporary
Location: Rural area approximately 2 hours from Boston, MA (own transportation required)
In this vital role, you will be responsible for observing and assessing residents, administering medications and treatments, and supervising nursing assistants. You will collaborate with physicians, coordinate resident care activities, and communicate effectively with residents’ families. Your efforts will ensure residents receive high-quality, compassionate care, while supporting the nursing team in a dynamic environment.
Required Skills:
Valid LVN or LPN license in the state of New Hampshire
Proven experience in long-term care or similar clinical settings
Strong clinical skills including medication administration, wound care, and vital signs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to supervise and guide nursing assistants
Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Own reliable transportation (due to location's limited public transit options)
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Knowledge of wound vac technology
Familiarity with infection control protocols
Bilingual abilities are a plus
Preferred Education and Experience:
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
At least 1 year of recent experience in long-term care or a similar setting
Prior supervisory or leadership experience is advantageous
Other Requirements:
Must have own reliable transportation due to rural location
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
Willingness to participate in ongoing staff training and education
Comply with all state and federal regulations regarding medication and recordkeeping
Willingness to assist with orientation and training of new staff
