Intensive Care Registered Nurse (ICU RN) – Glens Falls, NY

What You Will Do:
Provide comprehensive critical care for diverse patient populations in the ICU setting.
Float to Medical-Surgical (MS) and Telemetry units if needed, managing up to 4 patients.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver personalized patient care.
Ensure compliance with safety and de-escalation protocols, including de-escalation training requirements (Welle, CPI, or PMCS).
Utilize EPIC and CERNER electronic medical record systems efficiently.
Adhere to all hospital policies, including every other weekend and holiday shifts, with no on-call duties.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 4 years of nursing experience, including at least 2.5 years in Critical Care.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Proven experience with EPIC; CERNER experience preferred.
Ability to de-escalate patient and family situations professionally.
Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
Willingness to float to MS/Tele units within capacity.
Nice to Have Skills:
Travel nursing experience.
Familiarity with de-escalation training programs (Welle, CPI, or PMCS).
Previous experience with local care providers (50 miles or less) for a decreased rate.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
State licensure as an RN in New York.
Previous critical care or ICU experience in a hospital setting.
Other Requirements:
Must be able to start ASAP.
Must clearly document if the caregiver is local during submission for priority consideration.
The facility can cancel up to 5 shifts per contract.
Must have or obtain required trainin, including de-escalation certification if not already completed.
This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $63.65, with comprehensive benefits including weekly pay via direct deposit, medical coverage, paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws, and travel-related reimbursements.
