Are you a dedicated and experienced Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse seeking an exciting opportunity in Glens Falls, NY? We are looking for a highly skilled IR RN to provide exceptional patient care on a 13-week contract. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized nursing care for patients undergoing vascular and interventional radiology procedures.
Assist with procedure prep, patient monitoring, and post-procedure care.
Ensure adherence to all clinical protocols, including EPIC documentation and de-escalation procedures.
Participate in call rotations, including one shift weekly and one weekend every seven weeks.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Skills:
Valid New York State (NYS) RN license.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, with a strong preference for vascular and interventional radiology background.
Current BLS and ACLS certification.
Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system.
Ability to perform de-escalation techniques confidently.
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Nice to Have Skills:
Previous travel nursing experience.
Familiarity with vascular and interventional radiology procedures.
Experience working in diverse clinical settings.
Flexibility with shift types, including 5/8s schedules.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Prior experience in interventional radiology or similar specialty units.
Demonstrated ability to handle call requirements and weekend shifts.
Other Requirements:
Must be able to clearly document local caregiving status if living within 50 miles to qualify for decreased rate.
Willingness to be available for call shifts and weekend coverage.
Ability to comply with facility vaccination and health protocols.
Travel reimbursement considerations apply when applicable.
Starting at $60.30 per hour, this position offers a 10-hour shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential options for 5/8s. The facility provides a supportive team environment, ongoing scheduling flexibility, and benefits including weekly pay via direct deposit, medical coverage, paid sick time, licensure and certification reimbursements, and a robust referral bonus program.
