We are seeking a skilled Hospitalist - Pediatrics to join our dynamic hospital team. Required Skills:
Active North Carolina medical license
Board certified or eligible (within 3 years of residency completion)
Boarded in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Med/Peds
Experience responding to hospital codes and managing acute cases
Proficiency in vent management, intubations, EKG interpretation
Ability to handle shared census of 30-35 patients with another provider
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with central line placement, arterial line placement, elective cardioversion, lumbar puncture, paracentesis, thoracentesis, suturing minor lacerations, and I&D procedures
Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
Established relationships with consulting cardiologists, nephrologists, and oncologists
Preferred Education and Experience:
Medical degree from an accredited institution
Recent experience in hospital medicine, ideally with exposure to pediatric and neonatal care
Proven ability to work in an open ICU setting during overnight shifts
Other Requirements:
Willingness to work shifts from June 1-4, 8P-8A, including responding to hospital codes
House in hospital-owned accommodations during the shift period
Maintain all necessary certifications and licenses up to date
