Job Description


Job Title: Histotechnologist

Hourly Pay Rate: $41.00

Job Description:

No local candidates within 50 miles. Schedule 11 p-7:30 a.m., 13 weeks. Location: Histology Lab - Histology Tech.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience within the specialty required. Preferred certifications include ASCP. Experience with Pathology, Cytology, and IHC is necessary. Responsibilities include receiving specimens from surgery, accessioning specimens into Cerner, collecting blocks from PA staff, processing tissue, embedding, cutting, staining slides.

Holiday Expectations:

MUST work 2 major holidays out of the 3: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, and 1 minor holiday: the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve, including the holiday season.
