What You’ll Do
Provide outpatient and some inpatient gastrointestinal care, including endoscopies and colonoscopies
Perform advanced procedures such as ERCP and therapeutic interventions
Conduct biopsies, stent placements, and other specialized GI procedures
Respond to emergent cases and support on-call responsibilities
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a patient-focused environment
Build strong patient relationships, supporting a non-compliant and complex patient population
What You Need
Valid Kentucky medical license or eligibility to obtain one
Proven experience with upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, and associated procedures
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to work well in a team and handle complex patient cases
About the Assignment
This assignment involves providing comprehensive GI care at a reputable facility in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. The provider will handle a mix of outpatient procedures, diagnostic assessments, and emergency consultations within a patient-centered environment. Support staff including APPs will assist, and scheduling will include shared call responsibilities with other providers, emphasizing a team-oriented approach.
