We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Gastroenterology Physician to provide high-quality specialty care within a busy hospital setting. Required Skills:
Valid medical license in Arkansas
DEA certification
Proven experience in gastroenterology, including endoscopies, GI bleed management, and GI problem evaluation
Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and patient rapport abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience in inpatient settings
Familiarity with Epic EMR
Prior experience with hospital-based gastroenterology services
Ability to perform procedures efficiently and accurately
Preferred Education and Experience:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology
Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in hospital-based gastroenterology practice
Other Requirements:
Must be local to Arkansas and willing to work overnight shifts (19:00 – 07:00) on a rotating basis
Willingness to provide call coverage from Friday 5:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM, including some inpatient rounding and one weekend per month
Ability to work in a hospital environment with a patient census of 1-2 per day
Must have excellent knowledge of hospital protocols and procedures; Epic EMR experience preferred
Compliance with all applicable licensure, certification, and healthcare regulations
Willingness to travel or receive reimbursements for licensure and travel, if applicable
