We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Dentist to provide exceptional dental care for individuals with intellectual disabilities. This vital role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents by delivering advanced dental treatments in a compassionate and professional environment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in promoting oral health and implementing best practices to ensure the well-being of our residents.
Required Skills:
Valid license as a Dentist by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners
Current unrestricted DEA registration certificate
Possession of a National Provider Identifier (NPI#)
Proficiency in electronic health records and computer systems
Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
Prior experience in a healthcare or supported living setting
Knowledge of advanced dental procedures and treatments
Preferred Education and Experience:
Dental degree from an accredited institution
Prior experience in a clinical or community-based dental practice
Familiarity with electronic medical and dental record systems
Other Requirements:
Completion of facility and HHSC required training
Ability to work a 4-day, 10-hour schedule (Tuesday through Friday) after training
No after-hours call responsibilities
This position offers an hourly pay rate of $140.00, with a schedule designed to promote work-life balance and professional fulfillment.
