Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced D/E RN- Critical Care (Adult PACU)

Required Skills:
  • Valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with ability to recertify
  • Minimum of 2 years recent inpatient PACU and critical care experience within the past 2 years
  • Proficiency in utilizing EPIC Electronic Medical Records preferred
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments with minimal supervision
  • Strong assessment skills in acute care settings, with the capacity to adapt quickly
  • No suspensions or investigations related to professional license or certification
  • No history of being named as a defendant in a professional liability claim
  • Legal right to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment health screening, drug testing, and criminal background checks

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience in trauma centers or larger hospital settings
  • Familiarity with emergency or critical care protocols beyond PACU
  • Additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS
  • Prior experience working with electronic medical record systems beyond EPIC

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • At least 2 years of recent critical care or PACU experience in a comparable hospital environment or trauma center

Other Requirements:
  • Travel experience in similar hospital sizes or trauma centers preferred
  • Willingness to work day/evening shifts
  • Ability to commit to a 13-week contract with a schedule of 6 twelve-hour shifts within a two-week period (07:00-19:30 and 11:00-23:30, every other weekend, no on-call duties)
  • Valid licensure, certification, and good standing
