Are you an experienced surgical technology professional seeking a dynamic role in a fast-paced, top-tier trauma center? We are currently hiring for a dedicated D/E Adult Surgical/Operating Room Tech to support our busy Downtown Adult OR. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute your skills in a reputable hospital environment while working with a talented team committed to excellence in surgical care.
In this vital role, you will assist in a wide range of adult surgical procedures, including trauma, orthopedic, general, ENT, vascular, and gynecological cases. Your expertise will help ensure smooth surgical operations, patient safety, and optimal outcomes. The position offers competitive compensation at $54.81 per hour, with shifts designed to maximize work-life balance, including a mix of 8- and 12-hour evening shifts.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 3 years recent OR experience within the last 4 years in an acute care facility of similar or higher level (Level 1 or Level 2 trauma centers preferred)
Proven scrub experience in general and specialty surgeries such as trauma, ortho, neurosurgery, vascular, ENT, bariatric, GYN, and GU
Certification as a Surgical Tech
Ability to perform surgical assistance with minimal supervision
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledgeable in operating room protocols and safety procedures
Successful passing of pre-employment health clearance
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal orientation
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience working in teaching hospitals or larger trauma centers
Prior experience with pediatric cases
Additional certifications in specialized surgical areas
At least 3 years of recent operating room experience in a comparable hospital setting
Other Requirements:
Must possess current certification and unrestricted professional license
No history of license suspension or investigations
Willing to work flexible shifts, including evenings
Candidates with experience in large hospital environments will be prioritized
