What You’ll Do
Perform ThinPrep screening for GYN and non-GYN specimens
Assist with onsite fine-needle aspiration (FNA) procedures and specimen labeling
Prepare and stain cytology slides, including PAP smears
Conduct preliminary diagnoses and assist in maintaining specimen integrity
Manage specimens from collection to processing, ensuring quality standards
Handle onsite FNA procedures, balancing workload with experienced Cytotechnologist
Support physician-guided procedures, ensuring accurate specimen identification
What You Need
Required:
Valid CT (ASCP) certification and Louisiana State License (LSBME)
Minimum 2 years of Cytology experience
Skills in ThinPrep, PAP, and cytology staining
Experience with FNA procedures and specimen labeling
Preferred:
Experience with esophageal, gastric, spinal, and bronchial specimen processing
Ability to make preliminary diagnoses and assist with on-site procedures
