Required Skills:
Valid Registered Nurse license in Minnesota issued by the MN Board of Nursing
Current RN Anesthetist certification from the MN Board of Nursing
Minimum of 1 year of clinical anesthesia experience
ACLS and BLS Tier 2 – Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
Ability to perform specialized procedures, excluding blocks, A-lines, epidurals, or spinals
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience working in a tertiary hospital setting
Comfort with overnight and weekend shifts (occasional overnight shifts encouraged)
Familiarity with Epic EMR system
Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing, with specialized anesthesia training
At least 1 year of anesthesia practice in a hospital setting
Other Requirements:
Must reside 50 miles or more from Abbott Northwestern to qualify
Ability to commit to a minimum of two consecutive weeks per month for the first three months
Availability for 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts, primarily day shifts, with optional weekend and overnight shifts
Credentialing process expected to take 90-120 days
Willingness to support a care team model with 4:1 staff ratio
