Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – Exciting Opportunity in an Ambulatory Surgery Center

Overview:

Required Skills:
  • Active or pending Alaska Medical License
  • Certification as a Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA)
  • Experience performing nerve blocks, especially interscalene, supraclavicular, infraclavicular, and axillary blocks
  • Proficient in placing interscalene and adductor canal catheters
  • Comfortable practicing independently and managing a high volume of cases
  • Strong understanding of ambulatory surgical procedures and anesthesia techniques

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with TAP blocks and other regional anesthesia techniques
  • Ability to handle a variety of outpatient cases including general, hernia, eye, ear, sinus, and orthopedic surgeries
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced outpatient setting
  • Flexible in covering occasional one-day neuro-ortho cases or assisting with anesthesia coverage as needed

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
  • Minimum 2 years of CRNA practice, preferably in outpatient or ambulatory care settings
  • Prior credentialing experience or ability to expedite the process

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to cover shifts starting at 7:00 a.m. (be ready by 7:00)
  • Able to handle travel, lodging, and transportation arrangements if not staying on property
  • Must meet all credentialing requirements, including primary source verification
  • Ability to work approximately 40 hours per week, with overtime eligible (time and a half) for hours exceeding 40 or after 8 hours per day
  • Flexibility for occasional on-call or extra procedures as needed
