Required Skills:
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare team members
Capacity to delegate tasks as necessary
Skilled in multitasking and managing high-stress, emergency situations
Exceptional attention to detail
Knowledge of surgical procedures
Basic computer proficiency, including Word and Excel
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities independently
Critical thinking and rapid adaptability
Demonstrated ability to work well in a team and independently
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience in cardiovascular OR (CVOR) settings
BLS or ARC-BLS certification
Experience with Epic electronic medical record system
Prior experience in high-acuity surgical environments
Preferred Education and Experience:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program
Minimum of 2 years of surgical technologist experience, preferably in CVOR or cardiovascular surgery
Other Requirements:
Willingness to obtain relevant certifications if not already held (BLS, CST, TS-C, CSFA, CSA)
Ability to work 3x12-hour shifts including late shifts, weekends, and call responsibilities (1 night per week and 1 weekend every four weeks)
Hourly pay rate of $40.20
Willingness to travel or relocate if applicable
Certification in surgical technology (CST, TS-C, CSFA, CSA) preferred but not mandatory; must indicate willingness to obtain certifications if not in hand
