Required Skills:
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification or equivalent
Knowledge of moderate to high acuity surgical procedures, instrumentation, and equipment
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and sterile field maintenance
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team and troubleshoot equipment
Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in emergency situations
Basic computer literacy (Word, Excel)
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with cardiovascular or CVOR procedures
Ability to mentor or train students and new staff
Additional certifications such as BLS (Basic Life Support) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Experience with inventory management and OR logistics
Preferred Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or technical school certificate preferred
Prior experience in a hospital surgical setting, especially within CVOR or high-acuity cases
Other Requirements:
All certifications required upon hire
Ability to work day shifts, including 3x12-hour shifts and occasional late or weekend coverage
Ability to lift, move, and transport patients safely
Must pass health and safety compliance standards related to sterile procedures and patient safety
Compensation:
Hourly Pay Rate: $40.20
