Are you a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant with a passion for cardiology? We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiology Physician Assistant to provide exceptional inpatient care, support our cardiology team, and enhance patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
Cover for a leave of absence, providing inpatient cardiology care in an outpatient setting
Collaborate closely with cardiologists and support staff to deliver seamless patient services
Manage approximately 10-15 adult patients per shift
Support the team utilizing the EPIC EHR system
Ensure adherence to all clinical protocols and standards
Required Skills:
Active California Physician Assistant license
ACLS and BLS certification
DEA certification
Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically EPIC
Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience in inpatient cardiology settings
Knowledge of adult patient populations
Ability to work extended 12-hour shifts confidently
Preferred Education and Experience:
Physician Assistant degree from an accredited program
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in cardiology or inpatient care
Experience supporting cardiology procedures is not required
Other Requirements:
Valid California license with a credentialing timeframe of approximately 90 days (expedited processing preferred)
Availability to start on 02/02/2026
Willingness to work a 12-hour day shift (07:00 – 19:00)
Must have or be willing to obtain necessary certifications and licenses, including DEA, ACLS, and BLS
Support staff includes a cardiologist and one other onsite team member
