In this critical role, you will be an integral part of the cardiovascular operating room, providing specialized technical support necessary for life-saving procedures. Required Skills:
Minimum of 5+ years of total Certified Surgical Tech (CST) experience
At least 2+ years of experience in cardiac and vascular surgeries
1+ year of CVOR experience
Proven scrub experience in a surgical setting
Experience with cardiovascular/thoracic instrument reprocessing
Strong aseptic technique and familiarity with surgical protocols
Competence with crash carts, equipment documentation, and charting systems, including EPIC
Flexibility to work PM weekend shifts (18:30 - 07:00) with call responsibilities
Ability to adapt to varied surgical procedures such as CABG, EVAR, TEVAR, valve replacements, etc.
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience in a Level I Trauma facility
Knowledge of cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures
Additional certifications in advanced cardiovascular or thoracic techniques
Bilingual skills are a plus but not required
Preferred Education and Experience:
Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST)
Relevant cardiovascular, thoracic, and trauma experience
At least 5 years of overall CST practice with specialized focus on cardiac and vascular surgeries
Other Requirements:
BLS certification mandatory
Must be willing to work night shifts and weekends
Travel and licensure reimbursements may apply
