CVICU Registered Nurse

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled CVICU Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care for cardiac ICU patients. You will be responsible for managing complex cardiac cases, performing vital nursing procedures, and floating across various ICU units, including the ED and PACU, as needed. Your expertise will support our mission to deliver outstanding critical care, ensuring positive patient outcomes and safety in a collaborative setting.
Required Skills
Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience with current Epic system familiarity
Proficiency in lab draws, EKGs, and line placements
Ability to manage IV pumps, ventilators, dialysis machines, and advanced monitoring systems
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills tailored to cardiac ICU needs
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIH (CPI can be obtained on-site for $100)
Nice to Have Skills
Experience floating across multiple ICU areas, including the ED, PACU, MS/PCU
Prior exposure to specialized cardiac equipment such as Alaris IV Pumps, CADD PCA, Servo ventilators, and GE Monitors
Familiarity with isolation patient protocols and COVID-19 patient care
Preferred Education and Experience
Valid RN license in good standing
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related healthcare field preferred
At least 2 years of experience in cardiac ICU or related critical care units
Other Requirements
Willingness to work four 12-hour day shifts per scheduling period, including weekends
Ability to float to all ICU units, ED, PACU, and MS/PCU with patient ratios ranging from 1:2 to 1:4 as needed
Comfort with caring for isolation patients, including COVID-19 cases, with awareness of mask sizing
Current certifications and personal adaptability to different ICU environments
