CVICU Registered Nurse

Overview
We are seeking highly skilled CVICU Registered Nurses to provide exceptional critical care for cardiac patients in a fast-paced, technologically advanced ICU setting. This role offers the chance to utilize your expertise in managing complex cases involving Impella, CRRT, and NxStage systems, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients. You will work with a dedicated team that values clinical excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning.
Required Skills
Minimum of 2 years ICU experience, with CVICU experience highly preferred
Proficiency with Epic Electronic Medical Record system
Able to work a 1:2 patient ratio, with flexibility to 1:3 as needed
Strong knowledge of ICU equipment, including Alaris IV pumps, Servo I ventilators, and Fresenius CRRT dialysis machines
Capable of performing lab sticks, EKGs, and line starts
Must be comfortable floating to various ICU areas, including ED and PACU
Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
Nice to Have Skills
Experience with Impella and CRRT/NxStage systems
Additional certifications in advanced cardiac or critical care nursing
Bilingual abilities to better communicate with diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Current and active state RN license
Relevant certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIH stroke certification (CPI can be obtained at the facility for $100)
Evidence of sterile procedures and critical care competencies
Other Requirements
Ability to care for isolation and COVID-19 patients; knowledge of appropriate PPE and mask sizing
Availability to work day shift (3x12-hour shifts, 07:00 - 19:30)
Willingness to work weekends (4 per 4-week schedule)
Limited RTO (Request for Time Off) of up to 5 days
Equipment familiarity with advanced monitoring and life support systems
