What You’ll Do
Set up and operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce high-quality cross-sectional diagnostic images.
Position patients appropriately and adjust imaging protocols to meet patient needs while following age-specific guidelines.
Operate CT-related technology (including power injector and post-processing equipment) and ensure correct technical factors.
Evaluate image quality and support consistent diagnostic standards (including maintaining a repeat rate at or below the national standard).
Assist with CT coverage that may include after-hours coverage and weekends/holidays, as required by the department.
Communicate effectively with patients—explaining procedures, managing delays, and obtaining pertinent patient history.
Collaborate with the radiology team, including assisting the radiologist during certain invasive procedures (e.g., biopsies/abscess drainage) as needed.
What You Need
Required
RRT/CT credential: CT Technologist (RRT) (as indicated by the role)
Ability to perform CT positioning and imaging responsibilities safely and accurately
Competence working with radiology workflow (terminology and procedures within Diagnostic Imaging)
Preferred
Experience providing CT services across a variety of patient types (e.g., scheduled, inpatient, outpatient, emergency)
