We are seeking dedicated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to join our team starting May 11, 2026. Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver anesthesia care to patients aged 12 and above in a tertiary hospital setting.
  • Support the Care Team Model with a 4:1 patient-to-caregiver ratio.
  • Support specialized procedures within a comprehensive anesthesia department.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards, including supporting staff for room turnovers and supply management.
  • Operate within a supervised model, performing assigned anesthesia responsibilities without performing blocks, epidurals, or spinals.

Required Skills:
  • Current RN license in Minnesota (MN Board of Nursing).
  • Certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
  • At least 1 year of anesthesia experience.
  • BLS and ACLS Tier 2 certifications upon hire.
  • Ability to work minimum two weeks per month, with at least 36 hours per week, including two consecutive weeks in the initial months.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to shift schedules, including day, evening, and occasional overnight shifts.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Previous experience in a tertiary or academic hospital setting.
  • Familiarity with the Epic EMR system.
  • Availability for occasional overnight shifts, weekends, and beeper call.
  • Experience supporting specialized procedures.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master's degree or higher in Nursing or Anesthesia-related field.
  • A minimum of one year of anesthesia practice in a hospital environment.

Other Requirements:
  • Reside at least 50 miles from Abbott Northwestern to be considered.
  • Credentialing process expected to take 90-120 days.
  • Eligible for a $10/hour pay increase after six months.
  • Beeper call available, with additional compensation: Weekend beeper call up to $1,500; weekday beeper call up to $800.
  • Overtime at 1.5x hourly rate, with approved scheduling.
  • Must meet all licensure, certification, and employment requirements.
