Overview:
As a Private Duty Caregiver / Sitter / Behavioral Aide, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, respectful, and structured environment for youth with diverse needs. Your role involves continuous supervision, supporting daily routines, and reinforcing positive behaviors, all while adhering to strict agency policies and child welfare standards. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your patience, empathy, and professionalism directly impact the lives of those in your care.
Required Skills:
Minimum age of 18 years
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to provide calm, consistent supervision in high-stress environments
Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with supervisors, caseworkers, and agency staff
Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain confidentiality
Physical ability to assist with basic caregiving tasks and extended shifts
Clean criminal background, child abuse/neglect registry checks, and drug screening clearance
Valid driver’s license with a reliable vehicle and active auto insurance meeting state minimum coverage
Nice to Have Skills:
CNA, behavioral health, healthcare, or caregiving experience
Prior work with youth or vulnerable populations
Knowledge of child welfare policies and mandated reporting procedures
Preferred Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED (required)
Experience in caregiving, behavioral health, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory
Other Requirements:
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed
Ability to assist with physical tasks related to caregiving and supervision
Willingness to adhere to all safety, documentation, and reporting protocols
