Key Responsibilities:
Deliver routine and complex patient care independently, demonstrating a strong understanding of clinical situations.
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care utilizing the nursing process in accordance with ANA standards.
Administer medications, treatments, and monitor for side effects, ensuring patient safety.
Document thoroughly and accurately, maintaining comprehensive patient records.
Educate patients and family members, addressing psychological, emotional, and social needs.
Delegate and coordinate with care team members to ensure high-quality care.
Adapt to different hospital departments as needed, including floating to other units when required.
Maintain competency through ongoing education, including required certifications and organizational onboarding.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Valid RN license in New Mexico or a compact state.
Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in critical care or a related nursing specialty.
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage contingencies efficiently.
Nice to Have Skills & Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Experience in a critical care setting with diverse patient populations.
Proficiency in patient education and culturally sensitive care.
Additional Requirements:
Urgent travel assignment with a shift schedule of 12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Availability to work six weekend shifts within a six-week period and participate in two on-call shifts.
Willingness to float between departments as needed.
Must be adaptable to travel and work in varied healthcare settings.
Competitive hourly pay rate of $56.95.
Commitment to completing onboarding, orientation, and annual competency requirements.
